Tired of the high cost of calls to mobile numbers from your business network? Your LCR (least cost routing) armoury is now complete with the addition to your network of the Hybrex P8-GWD GSM Router. Designed to convert fixed line calls to mobile calls the P8-GWD is ideal for small to large business with reduced communication costs in mind.

The Hybrex P8-GWD operates in the GSM 900 MHz and GSM 1800 MHz frequency bands providing an easy radio connection for voice and data transmission as the mobile trunk for your PABX/KTS system, or as a fixed "mobile" telephone for home use.

Key Highlights:
  • Economy and Efficiency:
    • Use the low call charge rate for mobile phone to mobile phone network from your fixed line device - such as PABX/KTS or standard telephone.
  • Easy Installation:
    • The small size of the router requires very little space for installation.
  • Low Maintenance:
    • Solid-state design minimizes trouble and eliminates periodic maintenance.
    • Expansion is easy and modular.
  • Call ID Generation:
    • The P8-GWD converts the GSM digital caller ID signal to the standard FSK Caller ID signal for fixed line use.
  • Polarity Reversal Generation:
    • The P8-GWD if required can convert the GSM digital disconnection signal to a polarity reversal signal for fixed line use to enable quick disconnection.
  • SMS - Short Message Service (Optional):
    • The P8-GWD can send and receive SMS, via its RS232 port, to the mobile network.

Hybrex Integrated Voicemail
The Hybrex Voicemail Card (VMU) provides for economic voicemail integration in Hybrex digital systems.

The VMU is a 4 port device, with 16 hr capacity currently, that as well as providing voicemail for your system that is easy to use with its voice prompted operation, also provides Auto Attendant and Direct Inwards System Access (DISA) capability. The Auto Attendant feature is programmable in Hybrex systems and provides interactive menu driven call handling that reduces physical call handling and enhances system performance. DISA allows many more features such as for example the ability for personnel to dial in from outside to hear their new messages that the system has notified them of, dial an extension number to talk to that extension, or if authorised to select a trunk and dial out to another location. This secondary location may be part of the inter-office network via VoIP for example. Another example is, on the GDS, DISA allows a call that has been externally call forwarded to be transfered back into the system. Auto Attendant also includes the sub function of Operator Overflow (ACD).
The Hybrex VMU is not just a voicemail card however for when “Hotel Voicemail” is activated things get really interesting: An easy to use voice prompt menu system gives for example: Hotel Guests the ability to set their own wake up calls, Front Desk and Hotel staff the ability to control many aspects of Guest room phones, even remotely; special Emergency Safety features enabled by recordings on the VMU and more. See the Hospitality Solutions page for a better idea of these features.

Voicemail capacity in Hybrex digital systems is according to model :
G1E-36 - 1 VMU card capacity (note different model card - same features)
G2-832 - 1 VMU card capacity,
G2-1648 - 1 VMU card capacity,
GDS series - 2 VMU cards per cabinet (note:
conditional - see GDS Specifications page - voice service slots).

Backup Batteries
Housed in a convenient and attractive case these backup batteries will keep your phone system running in the event of a mains power failure.

Two cases are required per main equipment unit (KSU). Each case contains two 12 volt 7 amp/hour sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries for maintenance free operation. Charged by the main equipment the battery set, from a full charge state, will keep the attached system and its handsets operational for a minimum of 1 hour for a fully loaded fully configured system.

The alternative : should the system not be battery backed, in the event of a mains failure, a number of PSTN trunks can be configured to failover to standard analog handsets or other (non mains powered) equipment to maintain a telephone service. However any calls in progress not on the failover trunks will be lost at the time of failure.
